Hayley Bridge Leaves Pompey Women

Winger departs Blues

25 June 2022

Hayley Bridge has left Pompey Women following the conclusion of the 2021/22 season.

The winger joined the Blues in the summer of 2019 and was given her debut against Watford on the opening day of the National League campaign.

She made 65 appearances in her three seasons at the club, with two of those being cut short due to Covid-19.

Bridge scored five goals in her time at Pompey, with her first arriving away at Oxford in 2020 – the final game before the lockdown period.

Blue boss Jay Sadler said: "Hayley has epitomised everything that we are about, as a football club.

"She’s helped the club grow through some challenging periods and has been instrumental in our journey, both on and off the pitch.

"I'm disappointed to be losing Hayley – however, I completely understand and respect the circumstances that surround her decision.

"I'm excited for her next steps, in both her career and within football, she’s fully deserving of everything she achieves."

Everyone at Portsmouth Football Club would like to thank Hayley for her efforts during her time here and wish her well for the future.
