Pompey have once again partnered with the University of Portsmouth to offer a scholarship for local young people.
The Portsmouth Football Club Scholarship will award £9,000 to a student who is under the age of 25 and lives in Portsmouth or on the Isle of Wight.
They must be the first member of their family to progress to higher education and have a household income of under £25,000.
They will receive £3,000 a year towards undergraduate course fees for a maximum of three years, while also getting the opportunity to gain valuable work experience with the club.
Pompey CEO Andrew Cullen said: The partnership with the University of Portsmouth means far more than their name on our shirts and on advertising boards in and around the stadium.
“It is designed to work together on a number of community goals, including one to raise educational aspirations in young people in the local area
“As well as providing support with tuition fees, the scholarship is also designed to create unique work experience opportunities at the football club.
“We would like to encourage as many applicants as possible to apply for the scholarship and especially from those who have a family connection to Portsmouth Football Club.

“Isibeal O'Carroll, who received the last scholarship, is currently working on a project to support the stadium development with a makeover of the Victory Lounge.
“This, we hope, will make a real difference to supporters on matchdays, as well as creating a better environment to develop non-matchday business opportunities at Fratton Park.”
If you are interested and meet the criteria, please email pfcscholarship@port.ac.uk for an application form. Applications must be submitted by June 30 2022.
Isibeal added: “Stepping out of your comfort zone is so important. The opportunities I have experienced alongside my scholarship so far have been brilliant.
“From enjoying my first football match to being able to work within the lounges throughout the games, meeting new people and enjoying the energy, has been fantastic.
“The staff have been incredible and extremely supportive throughout my time so far, which is allowing me to see and experience new areas and roles within the football club.
“I am really looking forward to the project that has been offered to me as part of my scholarship – not only will this be an incredible opportunity for me, but it will provide a new open space for the club, supporters and more.
“I am very passionate about this project and I am excited to be able to work with the team to bring the design to life.”
