The Pompey keeper – who is on loan from Manchester City – has been included in a 25-man squad for a couple of friendlies in Dublin.
Stephen Kenny's side face Belgium on Saturday, March 26 and Lithuania on Tuesday, March 29.
Bazunu has made 37 appearances for the Blues this season, with no other League One keeper bettering his tally of 14 clean sheets.
