Pompey have spent plenty of hours on the motorway over the past week.
A long trip north to Crewe was followed by a visit to Ipswich, while Tuesday night sees the Blues go down to Devon to take on Plymouth.
So Hayden Carter is understandably excited about a return to home soil to face Wycombe on Saturday.
Before then, however, the on-loan defender is looking for Pompey to reel in the sixth-placed Pilgrims.
He said: “There has certainly been a lot of travelling and plenty of hours sat on the coach on our way to and from games.
“So we’re all looking forward to getting back to Fratton Park at the weekend. It’ll be nice to have a home match again.
"We’ve been on a great run of form lately and so we want to try to close the gap to the top six a little bit."
“But we want to go there having secured a positive result at Plymouth on Tuesday and we’ll work hard to do just that.
“They’re a really strong side and have a lot of good players in their squad, but we believe we can go there and achieve a positive result.

Pompey fought hard to secure a point in a goalless draw with fellow in-form side Ipswich at the weekend.
Carter said: “It was a really tough game against one of the strongest – and largest – squads in this division.
“To go there and keep a clean sheet to collect a point is something we can look back on as a real positive.
“Hopefully it’s a result we can now build on when we go to Plymouth and then again when we face Wycombe.”
