It will be shown live from Anfield on BBC Two on Monday, with the show starting at 7pm, as clubs from the Premier League and Championship enter the fray.
Ties in the third round will take place across the weekend of January 6-9, with winning clubs collecting £105,000 from the competition prize fund.
