Josh Griffiths was the shining light for Pompey in a disjointed team performance against Morecambe.
The keeper made superb saves at the end of each half to deny Jensen Weir and Dylan Connolly at Mazuma Stadium.
It ensured that the Blues left the north-west with a point, as Colby Bishop cancelled out Liam Shaw’s opener.
But although Griffiths was happy with his display between the sticks, he was in no mood to celebrate the stalemate.
He said: “It’s frustrating and we didn’t manage the game well enough, which stopped us from gaining any real momentum.
“They were able to counter-attack in the second half and it wasn’t really good enough from us overall.
"I’m happy on a personal note with my performance, but the team comes first and we’re disappointed with the result."
“Sometimes you will take a point when you go away from home, although on this occasion it felt more like a loss.
“You have a look at every goal you concede and think about whether you could do better, but there hasn’t been much I could do about them lately.
“There are spells in your career where the opposition have one shot and score from them. It’s frustrating and that’s just how football is sometimes.
“I’m happy on a personal note with my performance, but the team comes first and we’re disappointed with the result.
“Everyone feels a bit deflated and we all have to look at ourselves and work out what we can do better.
“We need to stop conceding the first goal because it puts you on the back foot and leaves a mountain to climb.
“We have to make sure it’s a better point by getting a win when we face Derby in a difficult game on Friday.”
