Joe Morrell featured for Wales in their opening match at the World Cup against USA.
The Pompey midfielder came off the bench to replace Ethan Ampadu in stoppage-time to win his 31st cap for the national team.
And Morrell made an impressive cameo in the 1-1 draw at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium in Al Rayyan.
Tim Weah had earlier fired the Americans into a deserved lead, but Wales improved after the break.
Their leveller came from the penalty spot, with Gareth Bale keeping his cool after being brought down in the box by Walker Zimmerman.
Next up for Rob Page's side in Group B is a clash with Iran – who were thrashed 6-2 by England earlier a few hours earlier – on Friday (10am kick-off).
Wales are competing at a World Cup for the first time since 1958, when they reached the quarter-finals in Sweden.
