Pompey have lost just twice in the league all season and remain unbeaten on home soil.
But Clark Robertson knows that they need to start winning more games in order to remain in the promotion race.
The latest Fratton contest saw them play out a goalless stalemate with Derby in front of the Sky Sports cameras.
And although there was a lot to like about the Blues’ performance, Robertson wants to see more in the final third.
Pompey’s skipper said: “It was a better performance than last weekend at Morecambe and felt far more controlled. We knew we had to be more solid and compact.
“In the second half, I thought we had them pinned in, but couldn’t create many clear-cut chances from all that sustained pressure.
“It was nice to get a clean sheet – our first one since beating Forest Green – and that was a real positive.

“Derby were always going to try to hurt us on the counter, but it felt like the game just fizzled out at the end.
“We worked our socks off all over the pitch – and that starts from the front with Dane Scarlett and Colby Bishop.
“It was just disappointing that we couldn’t create more going forward and get the goal to take all three points.
“We just need that final cross or little bit of quality because we won’t lose many in this league, but we have to start winning.”
Robertson had been a doubt for the match after injuring his ankle in the 1-1 draw at Morecambe six days earlier.
He said: “I’ve just been managing myself since then, but a few painkillers and I was ready to go. I wasn’t going to miss this one.
“It’s important that we get our squad fully fit again because we know that when we do, there are a lot of good players.”
