Pompey paid a visit to this year’s University of Portsmouth Freshers’ Fayre to welcome new students to the city.
A new three-year was signed at Fratton Park back in June 2021 to see the university continue their role as Main Club Partner.
And the aim of the appearance was to engage students in the successful partnership between the two organisations, while encouraging them to join the Blue Army.
Visitors to the Freshers’ Fayre were greeted by several areas of to the football club, including staff from the club, Pompey in the Community and our official catering partner Piglet’s Pantry, who provided plenty of tasty treats throughout the three-day visit.
Those who stopped by were also provided with a voucher to buy a ticket for an upcoming home match for just £5, ensuring that those new new to the area get to experience the exciting Fratton atmosphere.
The club are currently providing students with valuable work experience, internships and placement opportunities in different departments.
Pompey chief executive Andrew Cullen said: “It’s brilliant that Portsmouth FC can have a presence at the University of Portsmouth Freshers’ Fayre and showcase the numerous opportunities what we have to offer to new students.
“The support for Pompey continues to grow and develop and we love the assistance we get on a matchday from University of Portsmouth students.”
