Matchday Guide: Pompey v Bristol Rovers

Pompey return to competitive action when they welcome Bristol Rovers to Fratton Park on Saturday (3pm kick-off).

And there is plenty going on around the ground to get everyone in the mood for the big game.

The FanZone is back for the start of the new season, with our resident DJ spinning the decks and getting everyone pumped.

There are also some new games for our younger fans to enjoy courtesy of Pompey in the Community – foot pool and fast feet.

And Nelson’s Corner in the Victory Lounge will have table football and a PS4 console to keep them entertained.

Food & Drink
To quench your thirst, the stadium kiosks will now be offering Madri, East Coast IPA, Stowford Press and an improved Pompey Lager Pilsner.

Supporters can take advantage of an early bird offer for 30 minutes after the turnstiles open at 1.30pm, with a pie/sausage roll and a pint for just £8.15.

Fans can enjoy a pie and a soft drink for just £6 throughout the afternoon, while our guest pie is lamb hotpot.

The shipping container behind the Fratton End will be serving chicken/fish goujons and chips, while supporters in the North Stand can visit the kiosk four mezzanine to buy pizza and Amstel.

To speed up service, beer tokens are available to purchase in kiosks three, five and 11.

Please note that only supporters seated in the Fratton End will have access to the container bar at half-time.

The Victory Bar, shipping container and external North Stand kiosk will all be open from midday.

Supporters in the North Lower should note that if the bars/kiosks get congested, there are more available in the North Upper.

Tickets & Travel
The game is sold out, but the ticket exchange will remain open until 11.59pm this evening (August 4), so keep checking to see if seats become available.

Supporters based overseas can watch the game live on iFollow, while those in the UK can purchase an audio pass.

Any season ticket holder who let us know that their card has not yet arrived, will have received an eticket. Please use this even if your card then arrives in the post, as it will not work at the turnstiles.

Industrial action is still affecting certain rail networks, so please check before you travel to the game.

Additional Information
Please note that Fratton Park is a cashless stadium. This includes programme sellers, who will have contactless devices and can no longer accept cash.

The Pompey Lottery will be roaming around the ground and selling tickets for matchday competitions, with proceeds supporting the academy.

Keep an eye out for the matchday programme and pre-match email, which will offer a touch of nostalgia during the club’s 125th anniversary. Click here to sign up to receive emails from the club.

A new merchandise kiosk in the south-east corner of the ground will not be ready to open on Saturday, but is coming soon.

Stronger Together
The match is dedicated to supporting the fact that we are all ‘stronger together’ and the club have invited representatives of various organisations to the game.

This includes Her Game Too, Portsmouth City of Sanctuary, the LGBTQ+ community, MIND and the Gambian community.

We will continue to build positive working relationships with organisations around the city to promote equality, diversity and inclusion.

Enjoy the Game
We would like to remind all supporters that we will not tolerate discrimination of any kind at Fratton Park.

Please help us continue to make the ground a safe and friendly environment to watch football by bringing any unacceptable behaviour to the attention of stewards and police.

You can also report any abusive or discriminatory behaviour by sending a text or WhatsApp message to 07500 778844.
