Pompey have been drawn at home to Peterborough in the second round of the Carabao Cup.
The contest between two League One clubs will take place at Fratton Park in the week commencing August 28.
Ticket information for the tie – which is Pompey's first at home in the competition since 2019 – will be announced in due course.
John Mousinho's side reached this stage with a 3-1 win at Forest Green, courtesy of Kusini Yengi's brace and a Zak Swanson strike.
Peterborough made harder work of progressing, beating Swindon 4-1 on penalties at London Road following a 1-1 draw.
There have been four previous League Cup meetings between the sides, most recently in 2012, when Miles Storey got the job done at Fratton Park.
Pompey also came out on top in 1993 and 2002, while the Posh triumphed over two legs in 1997.
