Portsmouth FC are delighted to announce that Wightlink are continuing their backing of the academy as an official club partner.
The company – who have ferries on more routes than any other cross-Solent service – have been supporters of Pompey’s young players since 2007.
Wightlink also recently expanded their services from Portsmouth Harbour, helping fans who live on the Isle of Wight get home after evening games.
Their head of marketing David Williams said: “Now entering our 17th season, we are delighted to once again support Portsmouth FC’s academy players based on the Isle of Wight, assisting them with travel to training and on matchdays.
“Being able to encourage talented young Islanders to make the most of sporting opportunities on the mainland is something we take great pride in.

Pompey academy manager Greg Miller said: “This is a great commitment by Wightlink to support the players’ journey at the Portsmouth FC academy.
“For all the players in the present and the past who have benefitted from this continued support, it has enabled them to have the same training and game opportunities as all their team-mates, in turn helping to maximise their development.
“I know I speak on behalf of the club, the players and their families when I say just how important this partnership is – we are all appreciative of this continued commitment by Wightlink.”
