Match Preview: Plymouth v Pompey Women

Pompey Women are on the road this Sunday as they visit Plymouth Argyle in the quarter-finals of the National League Cup (2.30pm kick-off).

It comes off the back of a 1-0 victory over Ipswich at Westleigh Park for Jay Sadler's side.

Anaisa Harney was on the scoresheet, with her strike just before half time securing the points.

Pompey made it to the quarter-finals with a win over Oxford in December. Defender Jazz Younger was on the scoresheet in the 1-0 scoreline.

The Blues were awarded a walkover in the first round, after a 4-1 success over Crawley in the determining round.

Sophie Quirk bagged a brace off the bench, whilst there were goals for Anisha Hill and Younger.

Plymouth saw off high-fyling Cardiff City at Home Park to reach this stage of the competition.

Zoe Cunningham and Lily Greenslade were the scorers in a 2-1 victory for the Pilgrims.

This weekend marks Pompey's second trip to the Manadon Sports Hub of the season.

Goals from Emma Jones and Ava Rowbotham ensured a 2-1 victory in November.
