Pompey have signed Australian striker Kusini Yengi from Western Sydney Wanderers for an undisclosed fee.
The 24-year-old has put pen to paper on a two-year deal, with a club option of an additional 12 months.
Blues boss John Mousinho said: “He’s a really quick, powerful and physical centre-forward, who can run in behind and is also very technical.
“We’ve done extensive work over the past few months and looking at what the opportunities were in the A-League.
“Kusini was one who really stood out. He’s an exciting prospect and we’re delighted to bring him to the club.

“On his day he’s got a bit of everything and we want to see him perform consistently. If he does that, then we believe he can be successful over here.”
Yengi was given a chance in the Australian top-flight when he was promoted to the first team of hometown club Adelaide United in 2019.
His first goal was a memorable one, as it helped secured a 3-1 victory at their fierce rivals Melbourne Victory.
Yengi – whose younger brother Tete is on the books at Ipswich – signed for Western Sydney Wanderers in 2022 and struck four goals in 18 appearances for them last season.
