Colby Bishop has been named Players’ Player of the Season at Pompey’s 2022/23 awards dinner.
The skipper – who has notched 24 times in an incredible debut campaign at Fratton Park – received the most votes from his team-mates.
Bishop was also named Player of the Season by guests at the gala ceremony, seeing off competition from Sean Raggett and Marlon Pack.
There was consolation for Pack, however, as his superb strike against Exeter was voted Goal of the Season, ahead of another effort from the midfielder against Ipswich and a stunner from Emma Jones against Crawley Wasps.
Three awards were given out for the women’s team, with Jazz Younger named Player of the Season and Hannah Haughton selected as Players’ Player of the Season, while Sophie Quirk collected the Young Player of the Season prize.
Meanwhile, Harvey Laidlaw won the Academy Player of the Season award and Owen Dale was recognised for his fantastic work off the pitch with the Community Player of the Season prize.
And Holly Carter-Smith was named Fan of the Season, with head coach John Mousinho selecting the winner after supporters sent in their nominations.
The night was presented by broadcasting legend Fred Dinenage, who interviewed Mousinho, Bishop and Pack on stage
Former Blues boss Harry Redknapp was the after dinner speaker, while a raffle and auction were also held to raise money for Pompey in the Community and the academy.
