Pompey Academy's U14s squad were presented to Blues supporters to celebrate their achievements this season.
It occurred during half-time of the final game of the 2022/23 season against Wycombe at Fratton Park on Sunday, with a number of activities taking place.
An interview with head of academy coaching James Barlow was broadcast and he discussed the success of the showcases.
He said: "I think it was an incredible atmosphere. To be in front of the whole of Fratton Park, to see what it means to the city, the club and the players, I think was a special moment that they shared with each other, walking around the pitch.
"To be able to also share the memory with the Pompey fans, their friends and family – that's what this initiative is all about.
"It gives the academy players a little taster of what it's like to be a first team Portsmouth FC player.
"I think the showcase initiative itself is a brilliant experience for all of them – just to see how closely connected they can be to what it means to walk around the pitch and giving them the desire to one day grace the grass at Fratton Park."
Barlow also spoke about the significance of midfielder Harry Jewitt-White recently making his first league start for Pompey.
He said: "After seeing a young, up-and-coming player go on the pitch and play 60 minutes at Fratton Park is incredibly inspirational for our academy players.
"It allows them to reflect and, at times, critique what their performances are showing and what they need to do to make sure they are ready for that experience in the future.
"It was a moment that everyone at the academy was incredibly proud to see. From an academy perspective, we hope he can continue the progress he's made in the 2022/23 season and look to improve on the number of appearances he makes for the club."
The showcase event was the final one of the academy presentations that have been presented throughout the 2022/23 season.
