Matchday Guide: Pompey v Charlton

Pompey are back in action when they welcome Charlton to Fratton Park on Saturday (3pm kick-off).

And there is plenty going on around the ground to get everyone in the mood for the big game.

The FanZone will be back in full swing this weekend, with our resident DJ spinning the decks and getting everyone pumped.

There are also some inflatable games for our younger fans to enjoy courtesy of Pompey in the Community.

A military Band – comprised of members of HMS Collingwood Volunteer Band – will be performing from around 2.10pm.

And Nelson’s Corner in the Victory Lounge will have table football and a PlayStation console to keep them entertained.

Please note there will be reduced capacity in the Victory Lounge before the game, as our guests from the armed forces will be using the Warrior Lounge.

With the match falling on Armistice Day, we invite fans of both clubs to help us pay our respects to those who have made he ultimate sacrifice.

Both captains and a serving member of the military will lay a poppy wreath on the pitch just prior to kick-off.

The Last Post will be played by a bugler and a minute’s silence will then be observed by all those inside Fratton Park. Please do not applaud once The Last Post has finished.

Pompey’s players will be wearing poppies on their shirts and after the game, these will be auctioned off to raise funds for the Royal British Legion.

Food & Drink
To quench your thirst, the stadium kiosks are offering Madri, East Coast IPA, Stowford Press and an improved Pompey Lager Pilsner.

Supporters can take advantage of an early bird offer for 30 minutes after the turnstiles open at 1.30pm, with a pie/sausage roll and a pint for just £8.15.

Fans can also enjoy a pie and a soft drink for just £6 throughout the afternoon, while our guest pie this month is chicken, gammon and leek. Other pies available include steak and ale, chicken balti and vegan Bombay.

Supporters can purchase the famous Piglet's Pantry sausage rolls, with traditional, red Leicester and vegan offerings, as well as hot dogs, crisps, sweet bags, chocolate bars and Piglet's cookies and cakes.

There will also be a new street food pergola located in the FanZone, with ciabatta sandwiches – steak, gaucho chicken and vegan – from Argentina the first offering.

The shipping container behind the Fratton End will be serving chicken/fish goujons and chips, while supporters in the North Stand can visit the kiosk four mezzanine to buy pizza and Amstel.

To speed up service, beer tokens are available to purchase in kiosks three, five and 11.

Please note that only supporters seated in the Fratton End will have access to the container bar at half-time.

The Victory Bar, shipping container and external North Stand kiosk will all be open from midday.

Seats have almost completely sold out for home supporters, but the ticket exchange remains open until 11.59pm on Friday evening if season ticket holders cannot attend and wish to release their seat.

Supporters are advised not to call the ticket office on a matchday, as phone lines are very busy.

Please note that there is a £3 charge to receive an eticket or paper ticket if you leave your season card at home.

Overseas supporters can watch all the action live with four-camera coverage on iFollow, while there is audio commentary available for those based in the UK.

Fans who are unable to make the new date for the rearranged Bolton fixture should not visit the ticket office on matchday. Instead, they can fill out this form and our team will contact you in due course.

Please note that only contactless payment can be used for programmes bought in the Victory Lounge, kiosks or club shop.

The Pompey Lottery will be roaming around the ground and selling tickets for matchday competitions, with proceeds supporting the academy.

And the new retail kiosk is available to use for supporters in the South Stand.
