John Mousinho and Regan Poole have both been recognised for Pompey’s fine form throughout September.
The duo are on the respective shortlists for the Sky Bet League One Manager and Player of the Month awards.
Mousinho supervised an excellent run of results that saw the Blues remain unbeaten and climb to the top of the table.
There were impressive victories over Peterborough, Barnsley, Lincoln and Wigan, along with a draw at Derby.
And defender Poole was one of the star performers on the pitch, with goals against Posh, the Imps and the Latics.
Mousinho will have to see off competition from Wycombe’s Matt Bloomfield, Blackpool’s Neil Critchley and Oxford’s Liam Manning to land the prize.
Poole has been nominated alongside Barnsley’s Devante Cole, Oxford’s Greg Leigh and Blackpool’s Jordan Rhodes.
The winners will be announced on Friday and are decided by judging panels that include former Barnsley boss Danny Wilson, Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, EFL chief executive Trevor Birch and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
