We take a look at how Pompey players fared during the recent round of international fixtures.
Haji Mnoga
The Pompey defender – who is currently on loan at Aldershot – is set to travel to Ivory Coast at the start of 2024 for the Africa Cup of Nations.
He started a goalless draw in Algeria to secure the runners-up spot behind their hosts in Group F of the qualifiers.
It means that the Taifa Stars have reached Africa’s premier international tournament for just the third time.

Joe Morrell
The midfielder won his 37th cap for Wales in a goalless friendly draw with South Korea in Cardiff.
He came on at a half-time, with fellow substitute Keiffer Moore going closest to securing a win by heading against the post.
Morrell was then suspended for a 2-0 Euro 2024 qualifier in Latvia a few days later, which came courtesy of goals from Aaron Ramsey and David Brooks.
Terry Devlin
The young midfielder came on as a substitute in both matches for Northern Ireland’s under-21 side.
But they suffered a 1-0 defeat in each of their opening two Euro 2025 qualifiers, with a home loss to Luxembourg followed by a reverse to Ukraine in Slovakia.
Paddy Lane
The winger was a late replacement for Pompey team-mate Gavin Whyte in the senior Northern Ireland squad.
But he was not on the team-sheet for a 4-2 defeat in Slovenia and was an unused substitute for a 1-0 loss in Kazakhstan.
