Sam Hudson has urged his side to make the most of their opportunity to compete for silverware at Fratton Park.
Pompey’s academy side take on Preston on Wednesday evening (7pm kick-off) in the final of the Youth Alliance Cup.
Fans can show their support, with tickets on sale in the South Stand, priced just £5 for adults and £1 for kids.
And with the Blues having never previously reached this stage of the competition, Hudson wants the young Blues to enjoy the occasion.
Pompey’s lead professional development phase coach said: “All the lads are looking forward to it and the win against Oxford at the weekend means we can approach the game with confidence.
“We’ve watched some of Preston’s games and they’re sitting at the top of their league, so are obviously going to be strong opponents.
"This is the first time that our academy have ever reached a national cup final, so we have to make the most of it."
“It’s going to be a bigger pitch than we’re used to at Fratton Park and we want to make use of that space to get off to a positive start.

“For many of our second years it’s also going to be a last chance to play at the stadium and they need take it all in.
“You have to enjoy the occasion and relish the opportunity to play in front of the Pompey fans at Fratton Park.”
The young Blues have already seen off Brentford, Northampton and Swindon before beating Plymouth in the southern final.
Their opponents – who are top of the Youth Alliance League North West Division – came through a group stage in the northern section, then defeated Rotherham, Hartlepool and Grimsby.
Supporters are advised to purchase their tickets online in advance to avoid queues on the night. Please note that the ticket hut behind the Fratton End is not open for this fixture.
