Colby Bishop was at his composed best to help Pompey secure promotion to the Championship.
His confident penalty drew the Blues level for the second time against Barnsley at Fratton Park on Tuesday night.
That was reason enough to celebrate, but then Conor Shaughnessy grabbed a late winner to also claim the title.
And Bishop is delighted to help the side deliver on their long-held ambitions to finally escape League One.
Pompey’s top scorer said: “I’m not really sure there are any words that can describe the feeling of what we’ve achieved.
“It’s just absolute madness and these lads thoroughly deserve it – as do all of the Pompey fans. We’re all buzzing.
"That’s what the aim was at the start of the season and when I first arrived at the club. It was all about getting to the Championship."

Pompey can now look forward to testing themselves against Championship opponents, although Bishop is going to savour the success for a bit longer yet.
He said: “I’m not going to think about that right now. I just want to enjoy myself with my team-mates and that can wait.”
