Connor Ogilvie admits that excitement is building in the Pompey camp, with promotion now within reach.
But the defender is not taking anything for granted ahead of Saturday’s trip to fellow hopefuls Bolton.
Victory for the visitors would be enough to not only send them up, but do it in style as League One champions.
And a desire to replicate some of those famous celebrations from past successes is helping drive Ogilvie on.
He said: “We know that it’s potentially one game away and so we’re all totally focused on the weekend.
“I’ve had a look on YouTube to see the celebrations after promotion from League Two and when the FA Cup was won – it looked amazing.
"We know that it’s potentially one game away and so we’re all totally focused on the weekend."
“We’d all love to experience something similar to those moments, so it’s up to us now to get over the line.
“I’ve had a few relegation battles in my time, but never gone up, so it’s the first time being in this position and I’m loving it.
“I came to this club to help get them back into the Championship and we’re almost there, but it’s not done yet.
“There’s a real togetherness here and the group is a great one, which has played a massive part in what we’ve done so far.
“The gaffer has been amazing and knows what we need as players. That shows every week when we’re on the pitch.
“It’s nice for me personally to be in the side after the injury earlier in the season and it’s such an exciting time for the club.”
