Striker arrived at Fratton Park on deadline day in August 2017, signing from Dagenham and Redbridge on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
Occasionally employed at centre-half for the Blues, Hawkins netted his first goal for the club against Bristol Rovers on September 26.
The lofty hitman netted 18 times in 40 National League appearances in 2016/17, as the Daggers narrowly missed out on an instant return to the EFL following their relegation the previous season.
Hawkins started his career as a teenager at Ealing-based amateur outfit North Greenford United before local moves to Hillingdon Borough and Northwood.
Made the step up to National League South with Hemel Hempstead Town in 2014 – where he played alongside fellow future Blues colleagues Jamal Lowe and Nicke Kabamba – before getting his chance in the Football League with Dagenham on January 15th 2016.
Made his League debut just a day later, coming off the bench in the London club’s Sky Bet League Two defeat at home to Northampton Town.
