Lloyd Isgrove

Date of birth

178 cm

Isgrove signed on loan from Barnsley during the January transfer window, and will be at Fratton Park until the end of the 2018/19 season.

Primarily featuring as a winger, although comfortable playing across the midfield or up front, Isgrove’s Barnsley career also started with a loan spell.

Initially joining the Tykes for the duration of the 2015/16 season from parent club Southampton, the 26-year-old helped the Yorkshire team win the Football League Trophy.

He played the full 90 minutes in the final against Oxford United, which his side won 3-2.

And Isgrove was soon back at Wembley for the League One Play-Off Final. He scored the final goal in a 3-1 win for Barnsley, heading in from a corner.

In March 2016, Yeovil-born Isgrove made his full international debut for Wales, as a 62nd-minute substitute in 1-1 friendly draw with Northern Ireland. He had previously represented his country at under-21 level, earning six caps.

He made a permanent move to Barnsley in 2017, making 16 Championship appearances last season and scoring one goal in a 4-2 win away to Burton.

Isgrove has also had brief loan moves at Peterborough United in League One during the 2013/14 season and Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship during the 2014/15 season.
