Curtis netted against Danish side FC Midtjylland in the Europa League first qualifying round in June 2017 and impressed in both league and cup action for Derry, operating as the side’s main attacking threat.

He struck a first half hat-trick against Shelbourne in May 2018, as his side ran out 7-3 winners to book their place in the Irish League Cup semi-finals.

Curtis enjoyed a bright start to his Pompey career, bagging a brace in his first away appearance to secure victory at Blackpool

He was an EFL Trophy winner at Wembley later that season and made his Republic of Ireland debut in a friendly draw with Northern Ireland in November 2018.
