The winger made a deadline day switch to Pompey from Fleetwood in January 2023.
He progressed through the ranks at Hyde after arriving from Blackburn as a teenager and signed for the Cod Army in the summer of 2021.
At the end of that season, Lane was named League One’s Young Player of the Season at the EFL Awards, while also being voted as the top performer by his own club’s supporters.
He received his maiden call-up to the Northern Ireland senior squad in March 2022, winning his first cap against Hungary.
