Dan joined Pompey Academy in the summer of 2022 after previously working as an Education Manager at Reading’s Category 1 Academy. Prior to working at Reading, Dan spent almost 10 years working for Portsmouth Football Club’s charitable arm, Pompey in the Community, where he was Head of Education.
Dan’s role is to oversee all education provisions in the Academy, Dan liaises with every school of each Academy player ensuring that support is available for each player to succeed academically. Dan also oversees the ‘Day Release’ provision for our U15 & U16 players and manages the vocational and apprenticeship programme of the Academies U18s.
Dan graduated from the University of Winchester with a degree in Sport Studies before completing a Masters Degree in Sport Studies and Physical Education. Dan is a qualified teacher completing his Post Graduate Certificate in Education at the University of Portsmouth.
