Striker pens Blues deal
Pompey have completed the signing of Craig Westcarr on a two-year deal, with the option of an extension.
The 29-year-old striker was a free agent after leaving Walsall at the end of last season.
Blues boss Andy Awford said: “Craig is a welcome addition to the squad, who scored plenty of goals in League One last season.
“He brings something different to our attack and I’m looking forward to working with him when the squad return for pre-season training.”
Westcarr joined Walsall – initially on loan – from Chesterfield in January 2013 and scored 22 goals in 72 appearances.
He was the club’s top scorer with 17 strikes last term as the Saddlers finished 13th in League One.
The former England under-21 international started his career at Nottingham Forest and also had spells with Cambridge, Kettering and Notts County.
